The Legal Battle: Fighting for Justice

Introduction

In previous posts, I shared the origin of my script “Kharisma Heart of Gold” (KHOG) and the undeniable similarities with the movie “John Q.” Now, it’s time to discuss the legal battle I faced and how the court system protected the thieves instead of delivering justice.

Filing the Lawsuit

Armed with evidence of plagiarism, I filed a lawsuit against Newline Cinema, James Kearns, and others involved. The initial court proceedings seemed promising as the Illinois District Court acknowledged the script similarities.

Obstacles and Sabotage

However, the journey was far from straightforward. The court system repeatedly sabotaged my case, including:

  • Penalizing me for following court instructions.
  • Allowing defendants to change their sworn testimony without allowing me to challenge it.
  • Ignoring fraudulent evidence presented by the defendants.

The Discovery Process

One of the most significant issues was the defendants’ failure to comply with the discovery process. Despite the court ordering them to provide information, they consistently withheld crucial documents and evidence. This denial of due process prevented me from getting a fair trial by jury.

Corruption Exposed

The legal battle exposed the systemic corruption within the court system and the lengths to which the defendants would go to protect their interests. Despite overwhelming evidence, the courts ruled against me, further highlighting the bias and injustice.

Conclusion

Despite these setbacks, I never gave up. My book, “I Am The Real John Q,” details every step of this journey and provides undeniable proof of the theft and corruption. It serves as a testament to my resilience and determination to fight for justice.
