Introduction
In 2002, the movie “John Q” starring Denzel Washington captivated audiences worldwide. What many don’t know is the film’s storyline was strikingly similar to a script I wrote in 1998, “Kharisma Heart of Gold” (KHOG). This blog post is the beginning of my journey to uncover the truth and fight for justice.
The Birth of KHOG
Back in 1998, I wrote “Kharisma Heart of Gold” inspired by my real-life experiences. The story revolves around a father who goes to extreme lengths to save his son’s life due to lack of insurance. It was a deeply personal script, reflecting my struggles and hopes.
Discovering the Theft
In 2002, “John Q” hit the big screen, and I was shocked to see my story play out with Denzel Washington as the lead. Scenes, dialogues, and themes from my script were eerily similar. It was clear to me that my work had been stolen.
The Fight Begins
Determined to get justice, I filed a lawsuit against Newline Cinema and others involved. The battle was tough and long, filled with setbacks and obstacles. This blog series will delve into each phase of my fight, exposing the corruption and highlighting the evidence that supports my claim.
Stay tuned for the next post, where I will discuss the undeniable similarities between KHOG and “John Q.”
